Seeing though we document cannabis on weed.co.za from plants to events, I thought it suitable to document the extensive 13 year history of Justin to date. If you come across any further information please post here. If you are down in Durbs support the puff in the park that happens from 2pm every Sunday.
The main objective behind Justins cause is Re-legalisation.
Relegalisation means, and requires, that Cannabis be fully restored to its historic and proper place, and the immediate legislative amendment to redefine Cannabis in law as "safe, legal, personal relaxant."
Below are some of his personal achievements:
Founder in conjunction with Mr Yass of South Africa's first online Cannabis Coffeeshop roughly around May 2010:
After the South African government failed to oppose the application to the Constitutional court, Case CCT 02/10, the first coffeeshop was opened publicly by Justin Ballot in May, 2010. Although Cannabis is classified as an illegal substance, Mr Ballot has maintained that unless the government can justify the laws, they are illegal under Human Rights laws and don't apply to humans, and even if they could justify the laws, they need to show criminal intent and a guilty mind of the individual, a measurement of criminal law. He has challenged anyone to refute the facts he presented to the court. Mr Ballot opened the coffeeshop with the intention of forcing a change in the law, or challenging the constitutionality of the Prohibition of Cannabis with 41 unopposed counts of treason against the president and government in the Constitutional court. Mr Ballot reported that strangely enough, the only complaints he had received were from the criminal syndicates themselves, complaining that they would lose money that they always use to corrupt the courts and police in the promotion of their crime tsunami.

THE WEED WORLD CUP 2010 History in the making.
32 STRAINS
1 NATION
6.8 BILLION BONGS
The Only Guarantee of Quality Cannabis in South Africa and the Mark of the Weed World Cup.
If its not M. Yass approved, its low quality and not a Durban Cannabis Cup approved strain.
Some of the strains mentioned on the site are as follows, and the much anticipated winner is still to be announced:
Satori
Stinky nuggets of heaven. After selling out in the first few days of the Cannabis Cup, this strain is back to stamp its domination on the South African market again. Untouchable in the Weed World Cup, this one could go all the way and be crowned champion.
Royal Orange
A real Royal treat. Sweet rich Orange taste, extremely strong, physical but clear high. 1st prize Durban Invitation Cup 2010. Very limited quantities. ADVICE: Extremely 'rich' flavour. (Our surprise strain. Puff in the Park Cup).
Lemon Skunk
A zesty lemon hybrid, this great smelling bud is green with thick orange hairs, mostly sativa but with a powerful indica bite. This is one of our sweetest and tastiest strains. 1st - Outdoor, Highlife Cup (2007).
JZ's Genuine Durban
100% Sativa Organic. Very clean, uplifting, euphoric with very high THC levels. Good mood enhancer. The Presidents personal secret strain. ADVICE: Highly energetic. Best value-for-money strain.
Super Lemon Haze
It has a sharp and intense taste, which reminds of lemon, lime and pink grapefruit, followed by a very earthy and musky haze aftertaste, with traces of incense and black pepper. 1st prize HTCC 2008 and 2009.
Hosted the Global Marijuana March in 2001 and 2010.
By Prevashni Ramsamy
Conservative Durbanites visiting the city's beachfront are in for a surprise when those taking part in an international march to decriminalise dagga take to the streets to highlight their cause.
Aimed at championing the "benefits of weed" (as marijuana is commonly termed), the South African leg of the 2001 Space Odyssey March on May 5 will see marchers join the ranks of other campaigners from 120 cities around the world already supporting the cause.
The march has been organised by Justin Ballot of Durban. Describing himself as a "true champion of the weed", Ballot decided to dedicate himself to the South African marijuana cause while on a working holiday in London.
Mayor Obed Mlaba cautiously welcomed the campaign. "I've read a great deal on the medicinal values of the drug and I believe there is something worth researching. But thorough research must first prove it has more advantages than disadvantages," he said.
