8 Bucket, 2400w (flip-flop) Coco Grow

Postby Sopbeen on Tue Jul 13, 2010 11:00 am

Hey guys.

Since the forums are so quiet, I thought I could let a few of you know what I've been up to. This project took a lot of time and resources. We're running 4x600 watt digi lights. 2 of them are on at any given time. They flipflop every 3 hours, with all 4 burning for about 15 mins. The aircooled hoods help immensely.

I got a nice seed deal over at attitude seeds, they sent me the following:
Kandy Kush

SleeStack

OG Kush

Kushberry

LA Confidential

All of them were crossed with the same 30 year old skunk line (so its all xskunk). Those budshots come from a friend of mine that did a testgrow in a 400w cubby.

Should hopefully be getting some of those buds from this room (pics were taken right after the setup was completed):

After a few weeks of vegging, its now 1 week into flower:

Running H3ad's modified locus formula. 16ml Micro and 24ml Bloom / 10 litres. Seems to be working alright don't you think?

Nice work bru. I grew a couple with that same formula, a bit tweaked according to the ghe floracalc as gh and ghe are not quite the same thing. Got some decent bud...

Jusssus, respeck, I love the thickness of those stems, genetics unreal. The best indoor grow seen yet. Good growing and sub to this thread. May sk why you flip flop the light so much, surely having them on continuously on woudl be better for the ballasts and more wattage to the plants? Fuck a duck that is a seriously pro grow.

Could be to save electricity, also could be 2 hps, 2 mh on at different times to give full spectrum of light. I know from experience that that kinda setup really kills it on the electricity meter front, if yours is prepaid you can watch it count down when the lights are on, chows hectically ekse!

Thank MS, yeah I dont even use a heater during winter so cant imagine what it would be like running lights, damn no, I am too cheap. LED's have got my attention, but no place, just excited that spring is around the cnr.

SOPBEEN! Lank impressed with your setup man, thoseladies must be loving those lights!

How many plant's have you got there? With so much light output You could probably chuck a whole lot more under there...

Looking forward to the progress my man, hope it all goes well!

Yes same here. Skunk is a huge debating point actually going to make an article about the seedbank politics so you guys are aware of all the hype and con artists.

Ok in my sober state this morning I was thinking this must be more due to a full spectrum and heat thingy, cause I am sure those lights when lighting up and charging the ballasts and things really use alot more electricity than when they are running. Interesting topic of discussion cause we all need to save, but not forget that we want bigger bud. Bongit:

It seems like they got a skunk male from somewhere in Netherlands.

Running flipflop so we can cover the whole grow while only using 2 lights at a time. It chows quite a bit of power to run all 4 at the same time (you can literally watch the units tick down lol). The electricity hikes messed around with my budget but we make it work :P

2nd run will have all 4 shining the whole time.

Will have some new pics up soon, just waiting on the camera.

Looking forward to the upcoming pics bro...just a quick question, what's the wood condition like? We're planning to construct a support structure for our aero gro, but were worried about the wood/wetness...any tips?

Sofar the floor has soaked up most of the drip...
It seems like most of the wood doesnt really mind a drop or two. The circulation and lights seem to help with evaporation. I mean you're supposed to keep the water inside of the system, so aslong as you manage that the wood doesn't care :)

If you are really worried about exposure you can always varnish the wood and pull some black/white pvc plastic over it, then its waterproof!
